Hi Patrick,
I had a need to store data locally for a project I just wrapped up to detect if the first time onboarding workflow was needed prior to a user logging in.
I built this component, but I have not submitted it to the marketplace yet. It is open source on GitHub located here

It has been tested on Web, Android, and iOS. I hope this helps. I will look into deploying it to the marketplace.
