The new 3rd-party components are, so far, looking really good. Clearly, the 3rd-party developers have spent time and effort on these.
There are some components, however, that the community is crying out for which may not see the light of day for some time.
I wonder whether there would be a way of creating a 'bounty', where people pledge a certain amount of money towards crowdfunding a component so that it gets made faster?
I take the example of QR code scanning - I would pay $50 if I thought it would make those happen next month. It may be that there is a technical reason (other than time) that this is a bad example, but rather than one person, one upvote, it might be interesting for the community to 'put their money where their mouths are' if they want to incentivise moving things up the timetable.
Bubble did it in the early days (I'm not sure if they still do), with 'sponsored' development, where they would ask for a bounty in order to firmly implement a timeline for a feature development.
